The four species of Cephalorhynchus dolphins occur only in cooler waters of the Southern Hemisphere, none very far from land. They are small delphinids with a blunt head and prominent large dorsal fins. Because of their nearshore habitats, they tend to interact with fisheries, and are incidentally bycaught in nets in many areas.
